Introduction
The Department of Periodontology is dedicated to the study of the periodontium (the supporting tissues of teeth) and the nature, identification, and management of diseases affecting the oral and maxillofacial regions.
By understanding the inflammatory response and cellular changes, we prepare students to prevent tooth loss and diagnose systemic conditions manifested in the mouth. Our commitment is to eliminate oral inflammation and preserve the natural dentition through excellence in clinical care and biological research.
