Introduction
In 2004 the department has started is manning under MSMMU. Its postgraduate degree program under Rajshahi University after 2012 the course with diploma in Anesthesiology (DA). At starting 10 seats were allocated for postgraduate diploma in anesthesiology. From 2015 till now, the number was increased to 25seats for the postgraduate diploma in anesthesiology. Beside the routine and Emergency Anesthesia the department is operating 30 beded intensive care unit (ICU) – one for post surgical patient(5bed) and another for general ,pediatric & geriatric patients(25bed). There are one professor, two Associate professors, five Assistant professors, five consultants working now in the department.
